Lemax Village Power Management

Picture

Have you ever set up your Lemax Spookytown or Holiday Village and found a tangled mess of cords, and not enough power strips to juice up all your exciting houses, lighting and accessories?  In this article we will be talking about a possible solution to tackle this problem.

Most Lemax buildings are equipped with a power adapter and additional battery option on newer smaller buildings.  If you are using the building as a stand alone statement piece the battery option is a great option.  However, if your using your building in a multi-building complete village set up, using the battery option isn't very convenient for turning on and off.  Which brings us back to our original problem: How to power up multiple buildings without using a multitude of single power adapters?  The solution is the 3-Plug adapters by Lemax, in both white and black.  Power up three buildings using 1 power adapter.

 * I will caution you however on using these products to power up complex animated buildings that cycle up when turned on, and down when turned off.  With these village pieces I strongly suggest only using the power adapter supplied with the unit. Do not use a smart plug, nor power strip to turn them on or off.  Turn the building on directly on the village piece itself or switch on the power cord.  Using a power strip or smart plug to power on these units can short these more complex buildings circuit boards and diminish their functionality.  No one wants a blown circuit board on their favorite animated piece.  But Scooter? How can I tell what is a building that cycles up and down?  You can tell when you turn it off, it will continue to animate until it finishes it's complete cycle.  I have had houses that run another 15-30 seconds after I turn it off.

Stay tuned for my next article on the Moonlander units!
